Husbands 2 Go, a handyman company that has been serving the East Valley with over 3 decades of experience. Our main goal is to provide our customers with high quality work and the best customer service. We strive to always be on time, polite, clean, and well organized when we work in a home. We build relationships with our clients so that they can always come to us when they need anything done. We get a lot of referrals and good reviews from our previous customers.
We are looking for an entry level position with a clean driving record, flexible schedule, and some expertise in many areas of home maintenance including electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, and carpentry. The candidate we are hiring will need all or some of the following skills:
- Plumbing troubleshooting and repair
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Painting (interior and exterior)
- Drywall installation and repair
- Cabinet installation
- Flooring installation (tile, laminate, vinyl, hardwood)
- General handyman tasks including: (1) Home maintenance, installation, and repair (hanging curtain rods, adding closet shelving/rods, installing pet doors, weather-stripping windows and doors, pluming and/or hanging light fixtures, hanging replacement or new doors, fixing broken locks, installing drip irrigation systems, other projects….)
What qualities do we need in the employees we are hiring?
- Deal with paperwork and reports.
- Work well in a stressful or rapidly changing environment.
- Communicate tactfully in writing and verbally.
- Be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Pride in their workmanship.
- Time management skills.
- Be able to cater for their customers’ needs.
- Have a neat, well-groomed appearance. Be clean and use hair products designed for the task(s) to be performed, long hair may be a hazard for some jobs.
- Be kind and excited to speak to and communicate with your customers on a recurring basis.
- Be on time, Work hours are between 7 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and willing to work on some evenings and weekends.
- Possess a valid AZ driver’s license, a clean driving record.
- Be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Be physically healthy and able to work in a range of different working environments. You should be able to understand, and follow, plans you have developed yourself without needing detailed instruction. You should be flexible in your approach to work and be able to prioritize your workload to focus effectively.
- Be reliable, trustworthy, committed to safety, and compliance.
- Be thoughtful and careful of other people’s time, resources, and possessions.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Have some basic tools and knowledge on how to use the tools safely. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
- Know the basics of how to use mobile phones, email, digital calendars, and Zoom.
- Should be able to work at least 30+ hours per week
- Being productive at work.
